Homemade iced coffee!

A good book and a train journey.

A beautiful wedding - the last we attended as guests before our own!

A day of batch cooking - filling the freezer ahead of school beginning next month!

Yep, so Poppet has figured out how to invade the study through the window...

On Day 82 I had my lovely bridal shower.  Such fun to have a giggle with some of my favourite girls!

Day 83, stir fry, and new chopsticks to eat it with ( I won them during one of the shower games!).

Day 84 I popped into school to do a little class read-aloud research.

Day 85, the wedding work continued!

Poppet laundry: Expert Level.

On day 77, our wedding rings arrived!

And on day 78, more wedding based jobs took up part of the day (Shona came round and helped me fill these while we caught up on Nashville!

Day 79 was a chilled one at home, reading and kittens!

Day 80 I made green smoothies - please don't let the shade put you off, they are *delicious*!

And I took a trip to the hairdressers to try to make sense of my hair!

A very Poppet centric collection, this!

The dentist made this mould of my teeth.  It made me laugh and will be the perfect addiction to my classroom for Halloween!

Boden deliveries are always welcome!

A new toy to play with - I am loving making smoothies with our Vitamix!

Miss Poppet, helping me to write.

Hiding in her hidey-hole.

And having a very solid nap!

On day 75 I headed into town to say farewell to the Junior League office - always such fun to visit with these lovely girls!

Who doesn't love a new notebook?

Chocolate cake + caramel frosting = nom nom nom.

On day 67, Shona treated me to tickets to see Kristin Chenoweth at the Royal Albert Hall.  The concert was exceptional.  Then we had crepes and chats.

When I opened the box of school themed cookies one of my sweet boys had given me at the end of term, I found this!  I love all the little in-jokes I have with my class.

Yep, I think the candy bar will be pretty well stocked!

Although you might not guess is, Leela loves to invade in the mornings for cuddles and fusses!  I love how her little nose smudge makes her look so serious all the time!

100 Happy Days: 61 - 65

When we returned from Cheltenham we headed for Sunday lunch at a friends' pub (Aldo & Jo) with two university friends of mine, Tim & Alasdair.  Delicious lunch, good chat, and a fuss with Mr Darcy, Jo's lovely doggie, into the bargain.  The sign made me giggle - Candy is Jo's name for me (she's Chips ;)).

On Day 62, the Tour de France came to our neck of the woods.  As in, our actual road.  My pictures were far too shoddy to share (those guys are fast!), but I did snap this one of a rather handsome chap!

I also went for a wee potter around B&Q, looking for new plants for the garden :)

On day 63, Fry was fascinated by wrapping ribbons.

Whereas I was smiling once more at my name-to-be.

The last day of school brought tears and smiles and flowers....

...and Poppet claiming another box as her own.

Day 65 was the first day of the summer holidays.

Look at that rain!

My sweet friend Shannyn sent me my first ever Girl Scout cookies.

Oh. Em. Gosh, they are yummy....I'm quite glad Samaos are on the other side of the ocean, or I fear I'd have a problem ;)

Day 57 was crazy busy, so Leela took a nap for me.  Such a puddin'!

Day 58, Jeff helped me do accounts.

Day 59 was a Friday (woot!) and also July 4th, so Matthew and I went for dinner with our dear friends Dan and Brigitte.  Hello, tasty tasty magarita!

Matthew's birthday is early July, so I whisked him away for the weekend!  Sunny day, cool train, cool beer.

We stayed at the lovely Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham.

What's better than one roll top bath?

Turns out it's two roll top baths!

Mirror shot!  I love my Matthew :)

This salad at HdV is just amazing - walnut, cheese and pear.  I super glad I took this photo because it has reminded me to make this combo soon!

Another treat for Matthew - a Moog ensemble in concert.;  For someone who loves synthesizers as much as he does, it's a treat!  Love making my badger smile.
